The argyle line is a network that spans all across the central belt, from helensburgh in the northwest, to Edinburgh in the east, to Motherwell in the south, this suggestion if put in the game would be tsw's longest route, at a total length of 75 miles This section i have suggested would have a mainline between helensburgh and edinburgh waverly, with branch lines going off to balloch and milngave. Stock included Class 334 The class 334 is a 3 car EMU capable of 90mph, it would operate Helensburgh to Edinburgh services. Class 320 The class 320 is a 3 car EMU capable of 90mph, and would operate between balloch, milnganve, helensburgh and airdrie DLC/Future layers Class 318 The class 318 would layer from any future routes containing it, it would operate on services alongside the class 320, and often they can be seen Coupled together. Class 314 The class 314 would operate alongside the class 320 and 318 on peak services. Stations along this route would include: Mainline •helensburgh central •craigendoran •cardross •dalreoch •dumbarton central •dumbarton east •dalmuir •singer •drumry •drumchapel •westerton •anniesland •hyndland •partick •charing cross •glasgow queen street (low level) •high street •bellgrove •carntyne •shettleston •garrowhill •easterhouse •blairhill •coatbridge sunnyside •coatdyke •airdrie •drumgelloch •caldercruix •blackridge •armadale •bathgate •livingston north •uphall •edinburgh park •haymarket •edinburgh waverly Balloch branch •balloch •Alexandria •renton •dalreoch Milngave branch •milngave •hillfoot •bearsden Overall This route may be too long for tsw, but it could be interesting to see, the class 334 would be a new train to tackle for DTG, having not been in any previous train simulator. ill finish this suggestion off with a map of the route below.
I'd love to see it, although Airdrie (and Springburn) probably a more realistic eastern end. Carmine & cream era would be nice!
Hell yes! A nice varied route with amazing loco diversity. If DTG want to make this route, they better do it soon; SR last week launched a rolling stock tender to replace the 318/320/156 fleets.
I used to frequent Helensburgh a fair bit in my younger days. MASSIVE nuclear sub pens there. Seeing them sailing out was something
Excellent idea and anyone who owns this can actually use 320 334 DLC 318 on Cathcart Circle while Cathcart Circle gives 314 here.
318 and 320 would have a few layered services, both a.i and drivable, and 334 would appear at shields depot
The argyle line is from Dalmuir to Motherwell, Cumbernauld and Larkhall. Not Helensburgh Central, Balloch & Milngavie to Edinburgh and Springburn
