Hi all, I'm just starting out learning to drive trains. Coming from a lifetime aviation background, it's sooo different but it is interesting. Reading signal aspects is a real art. Train handling is of course an art as well. I'm getting better at arriving at the stations and not speeding. My experience is just quick-driving the Pacific Surfliner back and forth between LA and SD. I have a question about the F59PHI and will ask in a separate thread.
Welcome to the forum. I agree that starting without wheelslip and stopping in the right place without crawling along the platform are definitely "arts"
