Well if you’re only addicted to DLCs, that’s cool…

on the plus side 51 isn’t all, my count is at 64 or 65 addons minus about 2-3 for decal packs, and I don’t have all routes/locos

though if you do honestly have an addiction I would recommend seeking professional help, that stuff is very dangerous.

79 for me, but I haven’t bought other DLCs that are not worth the money personally, like The Diesel Legends of the Great Western.

Sorry for your loss… I’m really interested on BR diesel locomotives but when I saw it was on modern era GWE, and having to repay for the same train I already got (livery editor isn’t that hard). Jeez having to drive a

If this is a concern for you for heaven's sake don't get into Train Simulator (Classic). I like to think I buy quite judiciously but Steam reports that I'm up to 101 DLC and it doesn't count several third party items. Compared to some people I'm just getting started.

For TSC you need a good loan from the bank to buy everything, good luck convincing your bank loan officer to accept it.

... still cheaper than a model railway or pimping your car.

I've got a 2005 Mercedes C 220 CDI. Purchased that in 2006 with just 8,000 kms. Now already 423,000 kms with my baby - never let me down. The MB OM646 "Taxi" engine is pretty robust and reliable.

Of course I did not buy the DLC in one go, collected over 8 years now. And mostly on sales, not for regular price.

I was Fortunate enough to have "Rails of Sheffield" as my local model shop growing up. I could walk to the store.
Had a quick browse on their website last night, and wow !! I am so out of touch.
I am sure the models are awesome, but it makes TSC/TSW look like a budget hobby in comparison.

I have got most British dlc, except a couple of loco/livery packs as I also have strange addictions for model trains and my cars, so TSW is the budget hobby. Luckily I managed to control myself with TSC and only have 20 or 30 steam/diesel dlc on there and certainly nowhere near 100, forget 700!

I plan on getting all DLC's and all versions of the game but the difference is that I do one at a time, two at most and don't move on until I have finished what I'm playing.

I also do the DLC in the order they were released except for WSR as for some reason it crashes every time I try to start it.

I would recommend doing this or just stop until you feel you have control over the situation.

I was going to say that I'm much worse by having north of 300, but then I saw the 756 DLC post and now I feel like I have a way to go! :D

Yeah, whenever a sale was on I filled my cart to the max :D.

Simply because I'm knowing I'll still be playing TSC in ten years time, or even longer. In terms of content, no game will ever be able to catch up to it. Especially considering the amount of work it takes on newer game engines, and licensing bs getting worse and worse.

TSC is a platform that's accessible to both players and developers, despite the quirks it has (most of which have or can be fixed by the community).

still quite a lot, 23 routes or even mixed with loco addons would be quite a chunk of several thousand services to do.

I currently have 26 DLC installed.

Most of which are purely for the layers on SEHS and BPO.

I have SPG (done except for Y109 and Powering America Part 1), GWE (98% done), RT (43% done), WSR with the Class 33 (unable to play due to crashing at startup), RSN (my favorite route so far and 29% done), LIRR with the M3, NTP, MSB, the DB BR 182, PC, RRO (just purchased that on sale), ECW with the 313, SKA, BL, LGV (although that was the free route), SEHS (my absolute other favorite besides RSN), Clinchfield, the 3 Rush Hour routes and Spirit of Steam.

I have TSW3 but haven't tried it yet so not counting anything from there so far.

Doing everything in the order of release. Discovered I had TSW2020 in my "Hidden Games" section so I uninstalled TSW2 and installed that but again crashes whenever I tried to play a route.

When I get my new gaming computer, I'm gonna go back and try TSW2020 again while doing everything from there on TSW2 as I am currently.

If it doesn't work, I'll just continue on TSW2 until the Class 484 for the Island Line then it's off to TSW3.

I know what you mean, I'm addicted too, trouble is I also play TSC and Trainz 22. They should start a community called DLC Anonymous.
I've learnt to hold off with this game though to check the quality first. I only bought 1 dlc new and said never again.

I wait for sales.....and still spend too much. It's the lovely pictures on the website dlc page, they reach out and pull me in.
It's a good point though that a model railway would cost you a hell of a lot more if you went into it with the same enthusiasm.

I buy according to need which is in the order the content came out since I am playing everything that is compatible with my PC in order.

I also generally wait for sales so I can pick up what I need on the cheap.
