I first got TSW2 and TSC on Steam in August 2020, and made my first post in TSW2 section of the forums in early 2021. The dated visuals of TSC - especially the foliage-less distant mountain scenery - for a long time prevented me from enjoying it, and I was spending most of my time in TSW2. However, as someone who is mostly into Japanese rail, and also into Austrian and Norwegian routes, there was nothing for me in the newer sim, so I have recently drifted back to TSC. While I eventually moved away from playing the Japanese content I have got on Steam (Tadami and Wakayama/Sakurai Lines) as the rolling stock/locations are not exactly my sort of thing, I have grown to enjoy the Austrian routes I have - Arlbergbahn, Giselabahn, Karawankenbahn, Linz-Passau and Tauernbahn. Today I also got the DB BR 187 and Bahnstrecke Strasbourg-Karlsruhe, and thought I'd introduce myself here. I also hope to get RSSLO's Tirol route and BR 187 to work, as currently it seems to be broken for me. Over the past few days I opened a couple of threads on issues I have been having (installing custom liveries, which I still can't fix for some reason, and the broken scenario for Tirol+BR 187) in the Technical Reports section, and have been helped by kind people of the TSC community, for which I am grateful. I got into railway fandom relatively late - it happened several years ago, and I'm 37. I'm not sure how I did not end up being a rail enthusiast much earlier, as it represents many of the things that I am vocal about - environment, urban planning, criticism of private transportation in cities, and so on. I also am a big fan of how rail is woven into the urban life and culture in Japan. My YouTube channel has a playlist of railway videos (which the image in my signature links to) and I keep updating it all the time, with most of the videos related to Japanese routes and rolling stock. But I also have added videos on my favourite non-Japanese routes (FlÄmsbana, Tauernbahn, etc) and rolling stock (Eurodual, Vectron, BR 187, etc) to it recently. Anyhow, nice to be part of this forum section as well now.
