Love the 143, unique driving experience. But I'm hopeless with pzb as I can't find a way to reset after an enforced stop.
EQ gauge reads 0 and I just can't seem to recover in the normal way.

Is there a different procedure for this loco?

I usually wait until the train has come to a complete stop. Acknowledge the alarms by releasing/acknowledging PZB. I then put the throttle back to zero and release the brakes if still applied and I can usually move off again.

Yes, done this. But only the 143 leaves me stuck afterwards.
I can appreciate the brakes might take some time to come off, but a 20 minute wait suggests something else is amiss.

Is the brake pressure gauge needle at zero? If there is brake pressure, the train will not start.

Main reservoir is full, the EQ reservoir reads zero, the brake pipe... I can't recall but I think it had pressure.

I'm going to have another go and find out.
It's always after a pzb stop with this loco only and I've not had a pzb stop the without trouble yet.

If there is air pressure in the brakes, push the automatic brake lever forward. This will release the train brakes.

Did that, but the brakes didn't budge.
I'm wondering if I busted the simulation this time round.
Will try again and report back.

The procedure that works for me. Wait for the train to stop. Afb handle to OFF. Press the PZB Frei lever (middle lever). Wait until the main line is pressurized to 5bar. Main brake for running. Main brake for release. This should release the brakes. Afb handle at 40km / h and the train starts moving. Wait until the 1000 Hz light goes out. Then you can continue at the maximum allowed speed.

The 112 BR, and the 143 BR, are slow to react. You can notice it when you decelerate to 0 and the speedometer keeps increasing. wait a good while, patience friend, patience.
