Hi I've been trying to completely remove a recently deleted signal but can't get rid of the green direction pointer which is all that remains
The signal preceding this point is still using this marker as the routing reference to it's next signal.
It doesn't seem to be selectable so I haven't yet figured out how to delete it.

    Fixed Signal marker.jpg

Managed to remove it by splitting the track at either side of it and deleting the very short section containing the marker.
Luckily the track rejoined easily with the desired dark blue highlight to show it was OK. Sometimes it's tricky with a straight stretch of track for some reason.

All other signal deletions have been trouble free and this is the first time I've encountered the problem.

I have not experienced the same issue yet, but a very similar one when wanting to remove a signal and it happens to me all the time.

I can select and delete the signal and its pale itself (and the signal path/routing table seems to be cleared from it too), but however there seems to be a bug that the Direction Selection Gizmo still remains attached to the track.

Because I want to be completely safe that it does not cause any issues in the signal table later on, I want to have this Gizmo removed from the track as well (since its a remainder of the signal).

As with all other parameters, options and flags in the Editor, a cold restart of the Editor (or even just to reload the project) high probably solves this problem and then either deleting the signal also deletes the attached Gizmo or if the signal is already deleted, the Gizmo is able to be deleted. In some cases, even just swapping between "Attach Linkable Objects to Track" and "Select Mode" solves the issue.

Be sure that you delete the signal in "Attach Linkable Objects to Track" and not "Select" Mode.

Might be helpful to anyone to know.

In my experience the pointer gizmo remains on the track after a signal deletion until I move away from Network Edit Mode (I usually go to Select Mode).
Then when returning to Network Edit Mode the pointer has nearly always gone, with nothing remaining of the deleted signal, at least as far as I can tell.
I'm not sure what I did differently that might have caused my problem this time.

I think both of our problems are related to each other in the way that there is something what prevents all remainders of a signal to be cleared once you delete the respective signal. In your case, the displayed direction pointer itself was kept, while in mine the gizmo stayed. Don't know if this really could be considered as a bug, but definitely should not be like that.

Anyway, you're tip with removing the track also was quite helpful although I did not had this case yet. I just had a case where the signal cause an inmediate crash to the Editor, once you select it. Was actually quite tedious to get rid off this signal through changing the pak file of the DLC plugin, I used it from.
