Hi, I have TSW4 with NTP + HFP installed & also Peak Forest, I’ve done re-skins for the 12 ton Vent.Van which on Livery Designer (Xbox 1X) are labelled as ‘HFP 12t Van’ & LPC Standard Van, but the re-skins I’ve done are not available to spawn in both DLC games. Do I need to extra DLC’s for this or what ?!?! Thanks in anticipation !
Not that I'm of much help, but you wouldn't have been able to create those liveries if you didn't already have the DLC for them.
Many thanks for the reply Jack, it allows me to create the liveries (I have NTP & the HFP) not they refuse to spawn in game.
It does seem to be a thing with TSW4. I've recently tried to relivery various Mk1 coaches only to find that the ones you can relivery are not always the ones you can use in Formation Designer, and vice versa. Hopefully DTG read these threads.
…Yes hopefully, it happily allows me to do a re-skin for NTP 12T Van but said Van does not appear on the ‘spawn’ list in game.
I've just tested out the vans on my TSW4 and you are correct. Reliveried versions appear in Livery Designer and in Formation Designer but not in the 'spawn' list. The originals are there, but not repaints. I doubt there is much you can do except put them into a formation or a scenario perhaps. By the way, that is a very nice 'ShocVan'!"
…Many thanks Dave, that’s definitely a compliment coming from yourself ! I’m happy to do loads more, but it’s a shame if we can’t use them in game !
As Dave has said, don't let this put you off. Create the Formations anyway as (a) You can use them in scenarios so you can see them run in-game and (b) The formations will then be ready for you to use in free roam immediately this bug is fixed. There are lots of items of rolling stock 'missing' from certain parts of the game. (For instance I am waiting for the Limestone Hoppers, the 1938 stock and for the full versions of the TEAs to complete a number of projects. It is a bit frustrating but, I'm sure, DTG will get there in the end). So carry on making your vans as, for me, I enjoy people creating more versions of the more 'dull' items of stock. After all there were thousands of these in real-life and not one of them looked the same. Are you planning to have a go at weathering?
…thanks for the encouragement & knowledge, Spike I’ve only been doing liveries a week or so, I love doing the old stock as I remember them. Done a few weathered, just learning & (hopefully) Improving as I go !
I don’t really want to put any on Creators Club just yet as I think you need to view them in game first as you can pick up errors or possible improvements. Can maybe do a Scenario when I’ve done a few more…could call it ‘Fifty Shades of Bauxite’ !
By the way I'm David. (Let that Mr Pinza chap be 'Dave' and I'll be a 'David' ). I've been playing around with Livery Editor for about 3 months now......my first efforts are here. Liveries - 1932 Stock Southend Pier / Vectis Lookalikes Probably 50 different vans might be (a) a bit ambitious and (b) no one else will download that many. However make 6 different vans, put them in a 20+ van formation and I'm sure you'll have a winner
ok, thanks David ! Happy & grateful to take on board any advice you ‘Veterans’ can offer, really appreciate it, lovely liveries BTW !
…managed to get 2 x Vans uploaded to Creators Club using Scenario Planner as advised. Many thanks to you both for being so generous with your knowledge !
I can't believe you've done that Dave after he called us "Veterans" (Although I must admit the vans look very nice).
Sadly I feel more vintage than veteran these days! I wouldn't mind, but our friend polarstar joined a year before I did!
…that’s probably true Dave ! I got TSW when it first came out, (great concept) but lost interest because the stations & yards were devoid of life…got TSW4 a few weeks ago & now we’re able to create & populate !…winner !!
