    Hi all,

    I have the following settings:

    • Motherboard Gigabyte GA-A320m-s2h;
    • AMD Ryzen 3 2200G;
    • GeForce GTX 1650 4GB;
    • 16GB DDR4 memory ;
    • Power Supply 700W.

    I have some excessive bottlenecks because of the processor probably. I would like to run TSW 3 at 1920x1080 resolution, in high configs. Would a ryzen 5 2600x be enough or would it have to be a 3600 or 5600?

    With only a GTX 1650, a 2600X is probably enough to keep it fed. But personally I wouldn't buy any Ryzen older than Zen2 because of the huge performance and stability differences. Plus, you have more headroom later down the road.

    Cheers

    I've got an i5-8400 which is about equivalent to the 2600X. I have no problems, but I anticipate it will not be long before I have to upgrade as some 'AAA' games easily max it out nowadays.

    Prices on the low end aren't that far apart. You can get a current 5600X for less than $200 with no other hardware upgrades needed for it, and then you shouldn't have to worry about another CPU for a while. And at that point, you'll also be needing to replace the motherboard and RAM anyway.
