Help With Tutorial Bug

On the introductions to NTP, MSB & LIRR, when it comes to the part of the tutorial where I have to press triangle to return to driver mode, nothing happens upon pressing triangle, meaning I cannot complete these tutorials. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so how did you fix it?

 

Yes I brought the sim today with the great western add on and I can’t get past same issues as above says press triangle and won’t let me get past it

 

It might be worth pressing R3 before pressing the triangle. I am more than likely entirely wrong but a little bell went off reminding me of some sort of problem like this I had l this way back and I remember pressing R3 resolved it.

 

I tried that alread didn’t work just keeps going to the camera view the tutorial just keeps saying press triangle and goes no further brought the add on but as it doesn’t complete the tutorial I can’t play it so any ideas

 

Have you changed back over to immersion control system rather than staying with classic? As it is best to stay with classic for routes that come from 2020. Also is it four different routes that you are having the same problem with or just one?

Yea very much the GWR is my home line and stops at station where I live lol so it’s cool . I know this line very well lol

 

I have this problem too on the Peninsula line San Francisco. The tutorial has me go to the external camera, and wants me to switch from camera mode to driver mode, but upon hitting triangle, it does nothing and the tutorial won't progress.

I've logged out, logged in, still nothing. Anyone have a work around or solution?

Edit: I now cannot return to driver mode on GWE 166 tutorial as well. This is kind of game breaking, not being able to progress in an introduction tutorial.

 

I'm having problems with Hauptstrecke Rhein Ruhr Introduction on Train Sim World 2 as it says return to Engineer mode but there isn't an Engineer mode.

Has anyone had this problem before?

 

I can confirm this issue affects multiple preserved collection tutorials on Xbox too. For some reason the control for switching Camera Mode to Driver Mode doesn't seem to work anymore in tutorials (as a passenger). This is triangle on PS4 and Y on Xbox One. It is required to advance the tutorial script.

 

Yes, I can confirm I also have the same issue on a PS4 with the Peninsula line San Francisco. If anyone knows of a solution what would greatly appreciated.

 

The first thing I do with any bug when it happens is, save, then back to main menu. Then reload saved game. Has help me with many bugs and one very similar to this

 

Just bought the game and having same issue did u manage to fix it

 

Great game btw dlc is expensive tbh would be nice to add a Japan/China route

I bought the game in 2022 in PS4 and the bug is still there … it looks it is taking some time to fix the problem …

 

I've just bought TSW3 so I'm probably late to the party, but if this helps others looking for a fix like I was...

It seems the route tutorials are stuck in the past. I started out using Classic, but switched to Immersive when other tutorials forced me to use it. However, this seems to break the tutorials because they are expecting button presses not available in the new control scheme. So I suggest using Classic controls on preserved route tutorials to allow you to press the required button to switch to driver/view, etc, (i.e. Triangle on PS4 in external view).
