High Contrast Glitch

Hello,
A while back I looked at a thread from another user, who experiences high contrast glitches whenever they open the game without deleting playerprofiles.bin

I have the same issue, and have followed the advice of others. The solution works, but I am looking for a permanent fix.

does anyone know what could cause this to happen in the first place?

In fact, my problem is worse as opening menus in game has a chance to cause this to happen

 

Switch over from Fullscreen to Borderless mode.

It's more system-friendly, stable and has no trouble with alt-tabbing.
