  1. I was on the Koln Aachen route last night and so enjoyed it.

Please take it with a grain of salt when people make endless complaints here.

I bought the Midland Mainline days after release this year due to the extreme complaints and didn't have any major issues. I enjoy that route to this day.

There are two types of people in this world.

Those that will enjoy things and those that will determine to hate something even if they have the product ROFL.

So when you see all these complaints I can verify a lot of it may be true but the issues are minor or not even existing as many don't investigate it. They blame DTG for something that is not DTG's fault. Such as cold starting an engine I was told it was a 'glitch'. Far from it. The person didn't even know the procedure.

You need to sit in the driver's seat and take ownership.

We should start a tips and tricks section maybe in the forums.

Love how you see flights departing Cologne airport. And the bells ringing from the Churches/Cathedrals.

Yep, all the problems in TSW are between the keyboard and the chair, Dovetail did nothing wrong.

    Seriously! ;)

After reading your inspiring post I must agree I was wrong about MML, there’s no major issues indeed as I forgot to investigate them. When the game crashed while playing MML, it was because I forgot to sit down on driver’s seat ! Instead I blamed Skyhook and DTG ! You’re right again there’s no issues at all on TSW, everything works fine !

You're absolutely correct :). Tsw has absolutely zero bugs and is 100% perfect and is the very first game to do so even though I encountered a bug the other day where I lost all objectives after loading from a save and couldn't finish the service. Your post even fixed the rapid transit dosto that has been stuck in a traction lock since the launch of tsw3 and the many introductions that can not be completed.

I absolutely managed to play on Munich-Augsburg just fine without a single broken signal and without any PZB or LZB bugs after this, thank you so much! :D

My fault for creating the bugs.

Which is why I'm sticking with TSW3, I've seen nothing that makes me want to move to TSW4.

TBH the OP is a bit unnecessarily glowing. TSW is like anything else, when it works well it is really good but utterly frustrating when it doesn’t. It is just disingenuous to suggest otherwise.

In terms of software generally though, if you want buggy and unsupported DTG are a beacon of light compared to some in the industry. Tried OMSI2 again last night. Dropped like a stone by Aerosoft still full of bugs, can’t even get the joypad working correctly. About the only control method that works smoothly is the mouse, which is not much fun when you have neuropathy in the right hand.

Fired up Fernbus and not much better, another half mast Aerosoft/TML effort. Spent about 20 mins trying to get a run set up then, once in the drivers seat there was virtually no analog control from the joypad. Abandoned and oh look, back on TSW finish a run with the 1938 stock on the Bakerloo Line.

    Okay,
the OP enjoys TSW. And I think that this is a good thing. What I don't like is his "you hold it wrong" attitude. His lack of ackknowledgement that other people want another experience is sadening.

Though its additional expense, the Aerosoft driving games are much better controller wise on console (I have PS5 versions of both). Though still buggy cos Aerosoft, I've chucked a good amount of hours in Fernbus and Tourist Bus sims and by and large the controls work well, though the menus to navigate the bus controls (doors, lights, kneel etc.) are a bit fiddly. Enjoyed both rather a lot though, especially Tourist Bus, getting the double decker round some of those tiny Spanish streets is highly amusing

Glad to see someone enjoying the game as it is. I'm looking forward to TSW4. TSW3 was nice game (on PS5), but far from perfect.

Seriously though.. I think most of us here enjoy TSW or we wouldn't (shouldn't) be here, but its healthy and normal to point out areas where it could be better. Not to mention doing so is free feedback for the studio..

OP is 100% a rage bait troll. Has anyone else seen their other posts? I’d say he needs banning, but it it’s unironically funny that DTG probably believe people do actually see TSW in this light.

But anyway yes thanks OP, no longer will I spawn not in my train after selecting a service. Silly me going to the wrong place to take over the train.

I looked at the Tourist Bus sim a couple of times and even had my finger poised on the buy button at one point. Perhaps I’ll take the plunge if it pops up in a sale with decent discount.

In fact this kind of overly praising post is no worse than those who pop up repeatedly and make out both TSW and DTG are far worse than they actually are. There are plenty of those people around and they are just as single minded and selective. Most players fit between these two extremes and have varying levels of love and disappointment. Always ignore both the extremes when evaluating how good or bad anything is.

Definitely worth your time if you like Fernbus. I found Fernbus a bit basic compared to Tourist Bus, since pretty much the only thing you can do is drive a bus from a to b via c, whereas Tourist Bus also has you managing the bus company, hiring drivers/mechanics etc, taking bookings, managing finances as well. The aim is building the business up from a start-up only covering local amenities (first routes involve local airport to local hotel for example) to one that covers the whole island

While we're at it - and I will take a look at this "TSW" thanks to the recommendation, I'll throw in my recommendation for Construction Simulator. Currently playing the 2015 version which is great as it is, and there is a new version available now.

There are plenty of people on these forums who only ever have negative points to make, you never see them comment on a positive thread, well only to be negative, this is no different but from a different perspective.

However to assert TSW has no bugs or issues is rather fanciful. However plenty of us do enjoy TSW, it just seems expressing it at the moment is not the done thing on here.

Oh dear, Vern, you're really in the doghouse now. :D

On the other hand, although I agree that this poster is way out in left field, I look to him for my morning entertainment. I don't know whether he means to be funny, but I get a chuckle out of his posts over breakfast most days.

I'd rather read his posts than the mean-spirited entries that all too frequently litter the forum.

I think it’s being run by a bot or multiple persons, at one time he was talking about why can’t we have Le Mans circuit on TSW, by doing a break from driving train to driving cars. Now he or someone else running this account, is doing this kind of posts claiming that the game is 99% perfect and we don’t know how to play on TSW. Silly me after 6940 hours I can’t play properly like the OP :(

  38. I like it that he enjoys TSW, and I think it's quite nice that he's able to share that with us. I think it's quite unpleasant to overtly widdle all over that particular parade even though I've done it myself often enough. Its worth making a clear distinction between someone's enjoyment and pleasure in something, and our own desire to improve that something.
I hope I never crossed the line into online bullying and I hope I don't in future. It might be worth a period of self reflection for us all to be aware of the often hidden consequences for real people who we'll never know, some of whom are more gentle and vulnerable than ourselves.
So, sorry SD40Oz if you're upset at the moment. Don't take it personally. I'm glad you love TSW but please don't prohibit me from offering suggestions on improving/fixing it to DTG.

Then maybe just lock this thread and the other one the OP just started, if he is deemed to be trolling (and subject further posts to moderator approval). No one minds enthusiasm but posting to that effect then laying in wait for those who post a justifiable counter point which then leads to further antagonism is not really in the spirit of what these boards should be about.

I agree. His posts are amusing to me, but I can see how they might irritate some people. And this thread is only going to go from bad to worse.

( By the way Vern, it's " lying in wait " Sorry couldn't help myself.) ;)
