How about a "hint" hot key? That is, for those moments which I believe we have all experienced at some time, flicking switches and turning dials half way through a drive and wondering how to get the thing moving again. By pressing a key a hint could appear to prompt the poor old memory into action and get moving again rather than abandoning the drive.
That's not a bad idea - a "Get Me Moving" option in the menu for when safety systems intervene because the player made a mistake, it'll then walk the player through the reset procedure. Things like Missed AWS are surprisingly common in the real world and as long as the driver admits that's what happened (Covering up is a big no) and is not a repeat offender then the only punishment will be mocking from colleagues.
