Hello yall!! What if..you run a train to hear horns sometimes around?? We playing a train simulator but nobody can hear a passing train horn, or just a "hello" horn from the trains around, nothing? maybe this will be a good small adding on the whole gameplay of TSW4... what you think guys?
I think somewhere I read that on one of the routes (maybe WSR) there is a horn/whistle on AI when passing a whistle board. It could be good to have AI trains automatically do this at these boards on the ECML, and when passing fast through stations.
Would require the code and scripting to make it happen. Sounds simple doesn't mean it's actually simple to script it considering it has to be on a train by train, route by route basis
We want to hear solutions, not problems or excuses. Trainz can do trackside whistle posts which trigger AI sounding the horn, so if a 23 year old train game can do it, shouldn’t DTG be rising to the challenge? Actually Run 8 also has the AI sounding the horn, not just for crossings but when the train is about to move, too.
Counter question: Does this happen in real life? That trains horn each other as greeting when they're crossing paths?
I was on BPO driving a pacer to Ormskirk I think. At the passing loop there was a light 47 waiting for me to clear the single section. As I pulled in it gave a two-tone just as it was pulling away. Nice. It was about 14.50 hrs methinks if anyone wants to have a go??
