Man ok..so I'm no engineer or conductor or brakeman, but one thing I do know is train horns are very LOUD!!. What a letdown when I'm on an M7 on the LIRR and approaching a crossing , with my windows open and I hit the horn and what do I hear??? Barely can hear the bellow of the horns over the rail clatter and wind. While I can appreciate the realism of the sounds...in no way should I be able to hear lets say the sound of the actual horn handle being pulled louder than the sound of the horn. I thought maybe this issue was isolated to just this route or loco. SO ..let me try Sand Patch grade....pfffft. Come on DTG. This seems to be an issue sim wide..If there is one thing to get right..it has to be the hearing the horns. Someone please fix this!!!!
You may find on LIRR that the horn is louder with the window closed - there's a definite bug with that route in respect to that.
