Horseshoe Curve On Ps4 Tsw4 Will Not Load.

Howdy,
I've tried twice now to load this DLC and it's not loading. All I get is the TSW4 loading screen with the spinning circle. I've waited through 3 playthroughs of the theme song and nothing. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a known problem?

 

I've also tried reinstalling the Horseshoe Curve DLC to no avail.

 

AFAIK there's no way to remove individual DLC items from PS4 (unlike PS5) so if every other DLC is working correctly the next thing is probably to try removing the game entirely and reinstalling it all

 

HAHAHAHA! That's what I was afraid of. That will be my next step.

 

OK! I learned something new. After reinstalling TSW4 w/ Antelope Line and ONLY Horseshoe DLC. This problem is only occurring through Timetable 55K Grain run THROUGH Rail Journeys! When I run 55K directly from Timetable, it loads fine. Something is happening through Rail Journeys that causes 55K to not load at all.

 

Ok,so now I have tried several Horseshoe Curve timetables THROUGH Rail Journeys and none of them have completed loading. The problem is coming through Rail Journeys. The only work around I've found is to run them through the Timetable and scenario menus.
Has anyone else experienced problems with Rail Journeys and Horseshoe Curve? Or with other DLC?

 

I have all DLCs installed on a PS4 Pro. Since TSW4 introduced "Resume Rail Journey" (top left option of the first menu screen), it has crashed with a blue screen of death every single time. As it's the first item in the menu, accidentally clicking on it means having to wait 10 minutes for core game to reload all add-ons.

Whenever, I access Journey Mode by going through "To the Trains" (bottom left option of the first menu screen) and then selecting Rail Journeys, I get NO crashes / blue screen of death whatsoever. Have you tried accessing Journey Mode the "old-fashioned way"? Have any other PS4 / PS5 owners experienced this repeated crashing (or is it an after effect of significant installed DLC content)?

I managed to get 55K Grain to work through the timetable, but unfortunately forgot to check whether it worked via Rail Journey.

 

I checked last night whether 55K Grain worked via Rail Journeys and wished that I hadn't. The loading screen hung and after 5-10 minutes of waiting, I shut-down TSW4. So, for some unknown reason, I can confirm that (at least on PS4), 55K Grain works via Timetable mode, but not via Journeys. It would be interesting to know whether this is a one-off, or just the tip of a proverbial iceberg.

I appreciate you confirming the problem. There are other Horseshoe Curve timetables listed and accessed through Rail Journeys that cause the same loading screen hang. When TS4 launched I started playing through Rail Journeys and have only encountered this problem with Horseshoe Curve DLC.

 

This affects Xbox One too. Rail Journey uses a timetable intended for gen 9 I think. A service I did in journey (before TSW4) did not get marked off in the timetable either.

Services like these have differences (will load with low FPS on TSW2 and TSW3 journey, may not load at all in TSW4 journey):

571 Shire Oaks - Reading (Coal)

84 cars (Rail Journey)
44 cars (Timetable)​

650 Baltimore - South Fork (Coal)
651-1 Loading at the Coal Mine
652 South Fork - Baltimore (Coal)

66 cars (Rail Journey)
44 cars (Timetable)​

It could be all services are affected on Rail Journey as I can't even load one that was previously completed. PS4 and Xbox One are not meant to have longer consists for performance reasons.

There is also an additional "missing" loco that shows up in the timetable loco screen since TSW3 too.
