It's probley been ask before and maybe even by me,but i don't remember if me or anyone ever got a answer.Has anyone ever seen a piggyback flatcar (with what most likely would have been a UK style trailer at that time) on horseshoe curve?(TSW wiki list it as one of the 8 included cars). Note:It was also seen in some promo art for the route.
It appears in 1 service in timetable mode. 25W in a weird mixed consist with Trash Containers..... Its like Skyhook Games never even looked at what an actual US Intermodal train looks like, one of the main reasons I grade HSC low on the US freight route scorecard. While NS does have trash trains on HSC, they are ran by themselves. While the TOFC cars are usually ran with containers in modern times.
Thanks for the hint. I was searching around the route but only found random trailers in the yards. Are these trailers even american.... -ish looking?
Note DTG recently swapped UK style trailers for US type on there CAJON PASS route.Maybe they didn't even know this route had these trailers car and so there still UK type.Truthfully the triple axle trailers don't look bad and they have been seen on side track companies on some US routes.
Is there a option to put them in scenario planner? Just a side note isn't it strange theres intermodals trains on SPG yet no option to use them in scenario planner.
I bought this route for Steam and haven’t played it since it’s release. It is the only route I haven’t had for my xbox and will wait for a sale before I add it. It was on sale at the end of April last, but only for game pass customers, which I am not, so the wait goes on.
I now have the route and you might say MS helped me buy it in a interesting way.But why SKH limited the TOFC and trash containers to a single timetable train is beyond me.Theres no options in scenario planner to use either type of wagon.BTW every other intermodal train beyond 25W is just a regular stack train.
What's even better is the Gondola AFAIK doesn't even spawn in timetable mode on an active train, only as yard filler.
Well routes like these have one benefit those of us who's livery editing skill leave alot to be desired can get some professional made liveries.
I mean, the two routes are not that far away from each other. The line that splits off at Rockwood to the north on SPG goes to Jonestown on HSC. But as far as HSC is concerned, it would of been a better route if it was put off till we got more 1st Era diesels in game and set the route back to the PRR days, with its original 4 track main.
Couldn't agree more. I've said many times here that the TSC version was set in a better era and had lots of excellent Pennsy locos and rolling stock, though much of it was downloadable payware. The TSW version pales in comparison, though that's not to say it isn't an enjoyable route and I quite like having the occasional run.
