Ran a service in the rain today - the Kassel run scenario. Looked beautiful and liked the scenario. Running a vanilla game on the following 2080ti I9-10900k 32gb ram 1440p ultrawide Screen 102% I was seeing the FPS dip into the 20s at times. Am I expecting too much or is this just a very hungry route?
I've noticed massive drops when it starts raining or some adverse weather condition. Normally I would get like 40-60fps but once the weather comes in, I go into 20-30s. I've only played scenarios so far. I use an egpu for my laptop so my frames might be lower than usual I have a 3070ti egpu and an i7-8850 and 24gb. I run on 1080p and all settings on high with 100% screen percentage.
It’s the rain that’s killed the fps for me too. I did wonder if it was volume of trees but this adventure was rain. I guess it’s because you’re chopping along too
The preview stream was down to 25fps by the end once it started raining, it started off ok but by the end it was quite noticable.
That's strange. Look my PC specs: Xeon X99 E5 2640-V3 16 GB RAM GPU GTX 1650 I don't have problems with FPS dropping. Normally run between 52 - 64 Ocassional sttutering I think is the UE issue. I'm getting better performance than TSW2 but the only difference is that it's installed on nvme m2 ssd. This running in 1080P
shadows & leafless trees kill my fps there PS without shadows, I have 1000 fps when playing on the calculator
Just completed my first ICE1 run and was getting 80s and 90s with drops into the mid 40s with the stutters. The run was fully in sun, amazing since I have not seen dynamic weather do that yet. My computer specs: Intel Core i9-9900 @ 3.60 GHz 32.0 GB installed RAM 1 TB SSD HD 4 TB drive Video NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 8 MB GDDR6 memory
i12700 3070ti (laptop) 1920x1080 resolution. Vanilla Ini file Laika's better rain mod for TSW3 https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/m...d/c19-patches/i2789-better-rain-for-tsw3-tsw2 which does seem to help the FPS. Lowest FPS Ive had on SKW is low 40's - usually at max 60FPS excluding the occassional instance where it drops into the red momentarilly for tile loading ofcourse which plagues me on most routes.
More interested in does is look OK rather than fretting about numbers. But then, I’m on Xbox so what do I know?
Only noticeable drop of frame rate for me on Xbox Series X in connection with this route, is if I go into the carriages of ICE1
On Xbox series S we are approaching almost tolerable FPS. Not yet there yet but it ain't a slideshow anymore. But there are still "micro stutters" and a train game is the perfect example of a game where you will notice FPS so the "micro stutters" stand out very fast.
I always have problems with fps drop and stuttering. I tried many options, without success. My specs: Intel Core I7 9750, 16gb de RAM e Nvidia GTX 1650 4096MB GDDR5 Does someone have a tip for me?
