i know ive (probably already) suggested it, but i really want to create the C2C network, from shoeburyness to fenchurch street/ liverpool street. the train C2C uses is the class 357 and (formerly) the class 387. but there is one tiny problem, i dont even know where to begin using the editor! i have autism (which is something i really hate to confess) so i would love some help getting started on the route and the trains. another thing i need to know is, can i even make my own trains for tsw?
I just have a quick moment, but I will try to provide some answers, as no one else has jumped in. You will need digital 3d models of every part of your route and train, made either by yourself or others. Some elements from already existing routes can be borrowed, such as foliage. The PC editor is basically a simplified and specialized version of Unreal Editor 4, a professional game creation engine, but fortunately this means most YouTube tutorials on the latter will have some bearing on the former. Lastly, no-one is entirely sure yet whether user-created routes and trains will be able to be loaded into the game, or just enjoyed by ourselves and others from within the editor. I hope they'll work in-game, as I am also attempting to create a route and train of my own... eventually. We know that new timetables and consists can work in-game. I hope that helps, and best of luck!
also, i hate to confess, 3d modelling is NOT my strong point... so i would love some help by people making the stations and the trains, im really sorry to sound selfish!
Not selfish at all! Not everyone can be expected to have that particular skillset*, after all. I can't be the one to help you, I'm sorry to say; I've got some pretty high demands on even my spare time these days. *edited to correct spelling, however I suppose not everyone has that skillet, either
This is the best tutorial for start creating the route it helped me do the basics and i know nothing about making a route either (mine will never be finished tbf) https://docs.google.com/document/d/...xo8P6djUyCb1jPX13D1AbdYm3PapxTof-Q-7RdG3C/pub the only thing i struggle with on track laying is gradients and proper junction connections mainly. i can lay it out though, not go to signals yet so agian no idea how easy or hard. im also doing a non electrified route to make it easier on not doing the over head line splines etc as for a train and unique buildings/assets you need blender and i have no idea how to use that (precisely why my route will never be finished)
