How Did You Complete Scenario: Running On Vapors?

I complete the said scenario by not stopping until I reached Aschaffenburg Sud Platform 3 because it allowed me to fail the objectives with green light(s) until I reached that second to last station to stop at (third last command).

How did you complete it? (Did you cheat like me too)?

Set Klimaanlage to off, passenger lights off, stopped engine when waiting, limited myself to 33% throttle. Made it with every stop but surely not in time.

 

Not tried that one but sounds like fun.

Of course in reality, the driver would simply fail the set and request an assisting loco/unit to drag the failure back to Aschaffenburg.

At least this scenario kind of tells us traction units in TSW do consume fuel.

 

I just drove normally while setting the throttle to like 40% and I still had plenty of gas left at the end to probably go like a few stations more

 

I was going slow, 40 kph and delay

 

It really wasn’t that hard. The important thing is to keep enough fuel for the climb up to Aschaffenburg Sud. I basically ran no faster than 65 to 70 km/h, keeping throttle to 50% or less, just reapply slightly when speed fell to around 60. Made all the stations stops and arrived at Aschaffenburg about 15’ late. I had enough fuel left that I was able to power up normally on the last stretch.
