so i have tried have 2 class 37/5s on each end and inbetween 9 MK1s. I have set both locomotive to be on vacuum brake. I then couple one 37 first then having the other 37 to back up on the carriages on the other end. I can move one end but then i cant move the other towards the other direction. Even after i had released the brakes and turning off the master key. Am i doing anything wrong or missing anything??
Hello, linked below is a thread that will answer your question as well as any future ones regarding dual braked British diesel locomotives. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...gs-on-dual-braked-br-locos.75043/#post-734977 In simple terms, when you are doing top and tail locomotives using vacuum brakes, you need to leave both the front and rear cab's driver's brake valve handles in the release position instead of neutral and on whatever locomotive is your rear, set it to air pass so that the vacuum is created by the locomotive at the front. That is not the most realistic way, but it'll work. Each locomotive will be different, for the BR class 37, if you want a more realistic approach, just put the train brake valve in shutdown and set the brake selector to air pass for the rear locomotive and it should also work
Actaully one more thing, if i want to do air brake aka using MK2s, is it somewhat the same prodcedure?
Yes, it is. For air brake passenger formations in general everything is set to air pass and all train brake valves in neutral/shutdown except from the cab you're actively driving, let me know how your experience with the vacuum brakes have gone or go.
