Basically, I’m installing a superalbs reskin (the southern class 377/6 and /7, yes I have the SLN) but I can’t find where the GeoPcDx files, which I need, would be. Any help would be appreciated.
you need 7zip and you have to open the .ap archive for the route/loco the reskin applies to, then you can locate and copy the particular GeoPcDx required as per superalbs instructions in the readme.
Is there a .ap file in the directory the readme asks you to check? You might need to extract the files from that using 7-zip. A .ap file is basically an uncompressed archive.
WinRAR works better for me. Also free. Don’t bother paying after 40 days. Just ignore the license Windows. No loss in functionality. While in there, extract the RailVehicles entirely. You will need to grab other files for some reskins at times. Also, if you swap stock, it needs to be extracted.
Yeah well I hate Winrar, and Winzip for that matter, 7zip is far superior to them both, only reason I used to get either Winrar or Winzip was for the file association icons, now I don't bother with that as I have custom .ico's that look like the originals instead. Incorrect and a complete waste of storage space! From the Genius Mr Mike Simpson himself (that'll be the guy that wrote TS-Tools) and..
Odd, maybe I was swapping something more recently purchased. I do know I was not finding something though. As for WinRAR, I have 7zip not working as expected from install on one machine, so I stick with WinRAR because it works. Only issue is the odd file from UKTS. I solve that by opening the directory itself in WinRAR, and the corruptness magically vanishes by opening the archive from there.
