This is probably a stupid question but I can't for the life of me find any answers or figure it out. How do I unlock, for example, ICEd Out or ICEBerg in the Schnellfahrstrecke: Kassel - Würzburg journey? If it's dependent on completion of all scenarios in the previous chapter than I can't proceed due to the game crashing on the ICE 630 München Hbf to Hannover Hbf/680 München Hbf to Hamburg-Altona on PlayStation 5.
Yea, it's tied to unlocking the previous chapter. You used to be able to just do whatever chapter you want in previous tsws but not anymore
If theres a bug service in journey mode at a minimum DTG should be unlocking the following chapters until a fix for is made.
It was a huge mistake locking these chapters. It was done to make the game more gamey for gamers but all it does is annoys people who don’t like locked progress getting in their way and those that come across the services that can’t be completed. They have known for a long time that there is no guarantee that every player can complete every service in the journey (for many different reasons). The sooner they reverse this decision and unlock the chapters the sooner everyone can get back to enjoying themselves.
I was actually surprised that there was locked content at first. I guess the worst part is that you actually pay for the content but can't play it because of a bug or crash that will probably never get fixed given DTG's track record.
I'm still of the idea that everything done outside of journey mode should be ticked off in the journey menu. This only applies to tutorials and scenarios currently but services unfortunately don't. If DTG were to make it happen, I'd happily drop journey mode completely and play everything through service mode where there is a better flow. As a bit of a completionist myself, journey mode can be quite a conundrum.
Submit a bug report. Locking journey chapters is a stupid decision anyway, but especially given all the gameplay bugs.If you play on PC there is a mod to turn the locking mechanism off.
It's a bit much saying that you're losing out on content, Journey is just a playlist with preset weather settings for services, and they can be replicated easily enough in timetable. Still mindbogglingly stupid DTG don't bother testing this mind you, I'm just saying you're not losing out on anything.
Sorry I disagree with you, journey mode completion is an integral part of TSW for me and I almost exclusively play via this method. If it cant be completed then yes you are losing out on content. Where do I find such mod please?
This goes for me as well. These scenarios are also tailor made content with specific goals that can otherwise not be experienced as far as I know. It's also part of what you pay for. It's a shame a lot of the TSW2 content is broken in TSW3 as well, like the BR 442 Talent 2 Introduction or the Sand Patch Grade Introduction. I also don't think these problems will ever be resolved as DTG seems to focus on creating new content than fixing what is already there. But I might be wrong about that. I hope I am.
