I downloaded a fictitious route and want to change a few station names using other already existing station signs. The problem is that just replacing station signs in the route editor obviously won't do it because in the interface (HUD) the station names will still be the original ones. How can I change station names in what appears on the screen and not just on location at the station platform by changing station signs?
You'd need to edit the platform markers name in the route editor, and then edit every scenario to use those new markers.
Hello, In the editor you will see markers in the track which are all named. You would need to change the names of these. Be aware that if you change these you will have to edit every scenario to match. If they are not visible, you need to select their visibility using the icon upper left that looks like a computer screen. John
from about 12:30 deals with placing markers. More importantly it shows how you name them, by double clicking the marker to bring up it's properties and where the name is.
Hopefully somebody else can make some video suggestions. Most of my learning was done the hard way! But once you get into the swing of using the editor, you will find everything you might want to do starts making sense. John
It can be a bit of a black hole doing name changes. On a French Freeware route the builder mistakenly assigned the wrong names at a station P1 was P2 and P2 was P1 I changed it but then realise it broke the scenarios going thru that station - even those that did not stop. Easier to change it back than edit the scenarios.
