I know this is probably a dumb question, but I'm confused. The game says you can use custom liveries in timetable mode, but I haven't actually found an option to enable them. Is there some hidden option I've overlooked somewhere? I just created my first custom livery and I've got no clue how to actually use it.

Which loco did you create the livery for ? If it was the Isle of Wight train then you can’t use it ( a known issue ) but you can use custom liveries on all other trains which you have made liveries for

It was the Isle of Wight actually. Let's hope it gets fixed soon.

The bug also affects the BR 363.

Can some let me know, which ones you can use it for and how? I have made a custom wagon, how do I get it in a train or a loco for that matter. :)

Wagons spawn into freight trains at random, in any mode. But you can't choose them, they just happen.

You can use livery designer for all trains which you own in TSW2 apart from preserved collection

Ok I will have to keep an eye open for them, pity you cannot choose a rake of your own wagons. Maybe in the future there could be an option ;) Might try doing an 08 in something really "Garish" and see what happens LOL

I can't get any of it to work on anything.... I'm obviously missing something, or its completely broken....

Where are the options to chose custom liveries?

You can't choose custom liveries in timetable or journey mode. They are applied randomly.
I run SEHS and see the 395 Javelin with my livery on quite a few times and also a livery I made for the 375 appears.

That sounds incredibly dumb, so you just have to keep reloading a service and hope for your livery to show up? There goes my dreams of applying FGW Blue to all the 166s and HSTs on GWE when they include livery designer compatibility.

So if I reskined a class 101 in BR green to use on the WSR, it might rock up randomly somewhere else? Despite me not yet being able to use it on WSR?

I know it sounds dumb but that's how the game is programmed. Yes, you can keep reloading until your livery appears on the unit you are using. Also, there's only a limited number of user designed liveries that will appear at any time (4 or 5 max I think).

If it's a class 101 from the Diesel legends pack then it would only appear on the GWR route in the DL timetable. Even then it's not 100% guaranteed that you will be driving it.
You could use it on WSR but only in scenario planner. That way you actually can select your livery to use on your train and ai trains you put in.

Journey mode, No. Timetable mode? Of course you can! On the loco selection screen, pick your loco and then click "change livery"
