I understand that DTG Liam is a first party developer for Dovetail Games, but he is also the leader of Grump Dog Games. Does this make him a DTG employee or a third party? After the remaster, will he leave DTG? If not, does this make Grump Dog Games a second party developer? I imagine this is a short question with a very simple answer.
He’ll be both a DTG employee and a third party developer, working on different things in both jobs. It’ll be the same as Lukas working for himself under the TSG name as well as being a senior producer at DTG. Day job working for DTG, evenings and weekends for TSG, or in Liam’s case, Grump Dog. Any releases by Grump Dog will be third party releases. I don’t think he has any plans to leave DTG. Grump Dog releases are unlikely make him a millionaire overnight after all.
Pretty much this. I'll still be with DTG full time, with any content I make in my spare time being released under Grump Dog Games
Ah, thank you so much everyone. So DTG Liam remains a DTG employee but now has a way to mark his own personal projects with his name. Great! I always thought Maik Goltz was Train Sim Germany, with a little occasional assistance from Lukas. I didn't realise TSG had multiple employees and that DTG Lukas was working under both.
If that's true and I'm not saying it isn't, holding down 3 jobs, I wonder if the poor fella has time to eat and sleep.
