There's false inputs coming from my trackir that mess up the view, and I don't want to use it in TSW3 anyway. I can't see how to turn it off or change the binding, where would I find this? Is there a config file I can edit? Disconnecting trackir physically or closing the software isn't an option because I need it for other things, and in any case I don't think that can be automated. Please advice how I can disable using it for input.
There is a function key to press in the software. Can’t remember what it is and don’t currently have it installed, but it just toogles iit on and off. I think it’s F9, but you can change it to be any key you like.
Thanks, I have that in my TIR software but its a manual step not a setting change. Also I'm playing from SteamLink on the other side of the house with a controller, no keyboard. Ideally I'd like my 4 year old to be able to play it without having to deal with the computer too. Also I'm looking for a permanent setting, because it's a long time between play sessions and I'd rather not have a procedure to go through when switching games.. I'm likely to forget, because for a week now I though TSW3 was totally bugged because the view was jumping around like crazy but it was just the sun hitting my trackir in the other room. Would rather solve it permanently if you know what I mean.
Just found another issue, when I realise trackir is still on halfway through the session I go over and turn it off. Then the freelook is stuck in the glitched position. So I go back and use the keybind to Reset camera position (Ctrl + 0), but it doesn't reset it back to the original position. It resets it back to the last-known trackir position (that was glitched due to the sun) even though trackir has been turned off. So if you forget to disable it manually then the sun moves into the window halfway through your session you're pretty much screwed, I don't see a way to recover without restarting.
Thought I had a solution for a moment - created a profile with no movements enabled: However assigning it to the existing "Train sim world 2" title doesn't work, it doesn't detect the game. Once Dovetail requests Naturalpoint to add the new title (or map to the same title) this should be a viable solution. For now we can't assign a specific Trackir profile for Trainsim, and it will just load the profile that was running for the previous game.
