Once you have resumed and then completed a saved service, how do you get it to disappear from the main menu?
How much do I hate that button. It takes up quarter of the menu. No, I don't want to resume a save from half a year ago...
The settings have to be applied for each change, it won’t do it if it’s just switched off then back on then applied
The $64,000 question!!! Even MSTS, back more than 20 years ago, not only had multiple saves but actually had multiple saves to choose from within the same scenario. We've heard complete silence on the save feature in TSW for more than a year now. So we don't even know if DTG are still working on it.
I even have two buttons - one for the save and one for a Spirit-of-Steam journey I didn´t even begin in TSW4
It was pretty plagued with issues a while ago (the main reason it’s even an option to disable) the priority for development on it has always been that rather than expanding something what wasn’t functioning a lot of the time. if the functions fine now it could be expanded but I guess that doesn’t really fit as a priority compared to other features and especially considering all you have to do is finish one journey then save over it to get round the 1 save only.
Even when I’ve tagged Matt or Alex directly to a post or thread asking this question, it has been ignored or stonewalled. I’m guessing they just can’t or won’t do it for whatever reason but too timid to come out and explain why. Certainly as the number of routes and trains grows, it’s ludicrous to have to go back and finish the run you were doing before starting another you might also have to save, if you fancy a change. In TSC I have part saved runs on numerous routes, the only challenge there is remembering then trawling through TSC’s arcane interface to find them.
All my DLC on PS5 still shows the orange NEW banner despite me having some of the content on playstation since March. It dont seem to dissapear
All apart from ECML yeah. Which is weird because it is the only route (apart from BPO) which is actually new.
On PC, you can of course delete the save file manually from your Documents\My Games\TrainSimWorld4\Saved\SaveGames folder, but you'll have to careful to make sure you remove the right file so that you don't lose your entire player profile or progress. I hope DTG would add an easy in-game option to the delete old and unwanted saved game files. Just add a small trash can icon in the corner of the save file button and a 'Remove saved game? Yes/No' confirmation dialog or something to that effect.
