This is a special request, do to it is not for me. It is for a friend, which is very busy - as he is an airplane pilot! -, who also likes trains. Of course he is busy, so he asked me to help, about to change from TSW3 to TSW4. In my case, I have already PS4, but I am on PS. But he is on Xbox. So I can not help him directly. He would like to get their TSW3 routes and trains, to the new TSW4 he have just purchased. Then I will appreciate very much if someone could tell me - in order to explain him - how to do the above mentioned change? There is a written procedure somewhere here? Any help will be appreciated!. Thank you very much in advance. Regards!
you should get a free digital copy of every TSW3 addon you own (and TSW2) which is compatible with TSW4. I don't know any more unfortunately as I am on PC, and I only know that far (lmao)
Surely your friend is not too busy to do a quick google search next time he's at home Look under "Add-ons and downloadable game content": https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/games-apps/my-games-apps/view-downloadable-content
this is not just a simple "how do I download addons" question, if you would've read closely, let alone the title, you would've seen they basically meant the DLC transfer between TSW3 and TSW4. this does not actually help in the slightest, sorry
TSW3 DLCs do not work with TSW4. Instead, owning a DLC in 3 means that you are entitled to a free download of the TSW4 version of that DLC. In Steam this is handled semi-automatically; on the TSW4 DLC page anything that you already own in 3 (or 2 oe 2020) can be downloaded for no charge. In fact, purchasing the TSW4 base game triggers the automatic download of all owned DLC.
The place to check is the Xbox store. Find the TSW4 compatible version of the DLC you own. If the DLC and the two TSW versions were purchased with the same Xbox account there should be an option to install.
It does, because it explains where you can find DLC for your game and lets you download and install it. All compatible DLC you own is listed in this menu. If OP literally meant somehow transferring GBs of DLC data from one game to another, yeah then it's my mistake, but I don't think that's possible.
I wonder if the OP actually meant the routes native to TSW3, as I am having the same problem. Any suggestions please?
Hi all, there is a pinned thread at the top of this forum called "Download & Getting Started With TSW 4 Guide". It contains detailed instructions and video guides for downloading the game and compatible content. How to Download TSW 4 on Xbox Console/PC
