As you see in this screenshot that little red arrow, I want to delete it and merge the long straight section of track as one to be able to rotate for alignment. In Trainz I would be able to select either spine end and move it into place for aligning the track correctly. In MSTS it takes a bit of time and patience via the curve radius and angle. But this game doesn't seem to allow much?? Could I be totally wrong!! I also need to know how to change that gap between the two tracks. God sake! If 2 trains bypass each other with a gap like that it's not going to be pleasant.
You might wanna check out LaZeR JET's fine tutorials until someone has the answer for you (I've never built a proper route myself so can't help :/ ) Also, forum member and developer cActUsjUiCe has done tutorials: And, of course, our DTG Matt has done very good tutorials, explaining stuff you might not be aware of.
I've already viewed both tutorials and none of which explains 'laying track on lengths over 500 meters straight' or even aligning track over 500 meters.
Merging two pieces of track in the way you want as far as I know cannot be done in Train Simulator. To rotate them together (and move them to answer your second question) you will need to select both of them by holding control when clicking on the second one.
It’s largely a question of trial and error with a bit of self teaching. The “weld” tool is often your friend if you have to trim odd lengths off then rejoin the main line. TSC track laying is nowhere as easy as Trainz with its spline system, but having dabbled in DRS recently with wretched nodes everywhere, it’s not actually that bad!
