I'm assuming that both tracks are part of the same straight section (they line up perfectly). I found that setting the curve type to circular arcs allowed me to connect the two (the connection would be highlighted in blue while it is being created)
Yeah, no, they are not part of the same straight section like would be nice if there was a tool to calculate the necessary curve/curves to join the two together in a somewhat cohesive manner.
I made a simple loop. I couldn't figure out a way to properly connect the ends. However as I was trying to get it to connect, I accidently overlapped the first section. This crated a Junction. I then deleted the junction, removing part of the first section. When I tried to fill the gap and, I zoomed in and Eyeballed the placement as close as I could. The loop worked fine, even though it wasn't actually connected. Edit: To add, by creating the overlap, it created the correct tangency between the two sections. When I deleted it, and created the new section, it too had pretty much the correct tangency. Sadly the files aren't visible (although sill there in winsdows explorer), so I can't load it and get some screen shots.
to open them again go to the file menu and then recent, you will find it there, it's a know bug I have it too
Enable "Snap to Ribbon" (or similar) in the track laying tool. Play with the snap values a little. Then start laying track from one end towards the other. It might not snap directly to the other end but create a junction a bit further down. You'll notice it finding the place to snap when the overlay lines turn dark blue. You can just delete the part of the junction you don't need.
Yeah I figured the blue part out, it was just deleting the junction that I didn't find out but made another thread and someone figured it out
eh, I remember Trainz where there were no such problems with the connection when, and here since the time Railworks as was the problem remained and has remained
