Anyone know how to make/ if it’s possible to have layers instead of facing flat look more 3D like they are facing on a 45 degree angle.

    appreciate any tips.

Although you can't actually make things 3d in the livery designer, you can give the illusion with shadows.

Try it with a letter. Make a letter to the size and colour you want and then copy it so you have two identical layers on top of each other.

Now change the back layer to a dark colour. The livery will dictate what colour but it has to be darker than the layer in front for it to work.

Now nudge the rear layer to the side, left or right and then nudge it slightly down. You should now have a little shadow.

You should only nudge the back layer very slightly to achieve a nice subtle effect. Real companies use the same technique and I've attached proof although it's a little more complex.

You can also fake curved surfaces by using the gradient shapes- fade to a transparent black on one side and a transparent white on the other.
