Hi everyone, I'm trying to operate the Class 350/1 when I accidentally pressed W and set the Reverser to "Off," and this activated the train's brakes (as one should expect), and once I came to a stop, went into "Max Brake" and set my Reverser to "Forward" and then attempted to continue on my way. The train, however, had different plans. Instead of the brakes releasing like they should, the Brake Cylinder has remained at 3 bar for the past 10 minutes, and no matter what I try, I can't get the fault to clear and the brakes to release. Does anyone know how to remedy this?
Perhaps move the brake lever into Emergency and then maybe it will releaae the brakes. Maybe it wants you to press the AWS acknowledge button as well. Some trains do. If you really are stuck, try pausing the game and pressing 'I'm Stuck'
Did anyone actually work out how to recover from emergency brake in the class 350? I tried now two times, the first I activated the emergency brake by myself, second time I had the same problem as the OP and went into off by accident. Both times I tried to recover for around 15 minutes and I tried everything - putting the PBC in Max and Reverser in Neutral for 30 seconds, same with reverser to off and on again, trying key off and back on. Some video said to just wait for one minute with PBC in Off, this didn't work either. And even pressing "I'm Stuck" didn't recover the brake - as soon as I put the Reverser into the Forward position, the emergency brake applied again. Is this a bug or am I just too stupid to drive the class 350?
Acknowlede alarm (brake demand light should change from flashing to steady) Reverser to Neutral PBC can be in Off or any brake setting, but not in a power setting WAIT 60 seconds. System should now reset; return reverser to Forward and drive
I tried, and nope, doesn't work. After you once put the reverser into off by accident while driving, it seems there's no way to recover from emergency brake. DTG Matt Sorry to tag you, but could you confirm if this is a bug or some kind of intended behaviour and I just don't know the right way to do it.
Yup! Having the same issue. Also, sometimes the train just randomly comes to a stop and you can’t get it to go again, even after using the “I’m Stuck” feature. Seems like another bug!
I had the same problem with the 350 after emergency brake. It wouldn't work even with the "resetting the physics" function too. Eventually i've come to find a solution: leave your inversor on, and put some traction. Then just look at the panel behind you, shut down the battery and then start up again the battery (these are two different buttons). Your train should start moving again. DTG, it's a shame we still have to beta-testing some 4 months old route after discovering new bugs that came once you pushed "improvements" through patches... Guess you understand now why the audience wasn't really receptive to your big reveal recently. SCS has the #BestCommunityEver, you might have the #MostFrustratingCommunityEver, mainly because of these kind of subjects.
Puting the reverser in different positions while driving is absolutley critical. Be sure you know the real trains before tagging matt and complain about "bugs".
I know enough about real trains, thank you. But in a real train you would never accidentally put the reverser in a different position.... On the keyboard the S key is just in-between the A and the D key. And if there is no way to recover from such a mistake even with resetting the physics (which you couldn't do in reality either) I would call this a bug. By the way: you cannot release the brakes after doing an emergency brake with the red plunger, too. Is this also no bug?
I’m having the same issue with the 350 on PS5. Extremely frustrating and nothing works to resolve it. I only move the reverser when stationery for prolonged periods of time. There’s no issue with any safety system going off at the time, or when I do the above, enable the DRA and get out of the driver’s seat. This seemingly random traction lock happens each and every time I’ve tried to use this loco. Have yet to finish a single run. Edit: the streak continues with the 350!!! Except this time after completing service 2C12 in the 710 I grabbed the 8:38 2K13 service in the 350, only for the entire game to crash a few moments after leaving Euston, about 11km away from my first stop. On PS5, only the Overground and Underground services work flawlessly. The 350 and Pendolino are consistent and reliable game breakers 100% of the time. Please address this.
400 yds to Euston and nothing moves again. This is REALLY frustrating. Tried everything, even turning off/on the battery, resetting the physics, trying from the other cab, nothing works. Brakes won't release at all.
Really annoying this still hasn’t been fixed. DTG Harry please can you pass to dev for an update or to be looked at? Thank you
So I am playing this game on a PC with XBox Pass with the intention of buying it ... but am presently sat 300 yards short of Wembley . It's dark. It's started raining.... there is NO way to get his train moving again. Just continual "Safety Device" light error. I don't even know what key I hit. Almost jumping ship from Flight Sim.. but really can't be bothered making the effort if this is the level of annoying.... surely AWS acknowledge, Reverser off, Max brake and Master switch off and wait should be enough ??? It's a simulation , so surely a PC special "reset/cold engine start" button would be useful ? Why would I buy this exactly ??? ♂️
If you pause the game, a button that says 'I'm stuck' will appear that resets the physics of the train you are driving. Does that help solve the issue?
