I was on foot in timetable mode on MSB and I spawned in a Vectron and a 146.2 with dostos. I uncoupled and deleted the 146.2 and attempted to uncouple the cab car but no matter how much I tried I couldn't get the option to uncouple any of the coaches. I had the same issue with the IC coaches.

IC coaches are “permanently” coupled sadly and can only be by both ends, I don’t know why neither we can’t uncouple each coach. Same for the Dostos, I remember in previous TSW you can do it but to uncouple you have to click somewhere around the bogies, it’s really weird. If you’re on PC I think you have the possibility to do it with mods.

That's a shame hopefully the upcoming consist manager may rectify it. It's like the freight wagons on WCL, you can't empty the vacuum or air chambers.

For the IC coaches we were disappointed there was no cab car but also when we find out we couldn’t uncouple coaches, like you said I hope we’ll be able to do it with the consist editor, I’d like to use the Mk3 coaches as well.

The IC coaches can technically be uncoupled from each other but the hitbox seems to only be accessible from below, so you can't do it most of the time. If you spawn them on the raised tracks inside Ashford Depot and walk under them you can decouple them

Edit: Also, if you have the IC coaches or Dostos parked on curved track so there is a gap between the buffers, you should be able to click between the buffers to uncouple them. On straight track the buffers get in the way

Or you move the camera between two Coaches. The 2 camera ( No idea whats the equivalent on consoles, but the one that rotates around the train) can be moved between two coaches which then can be uncoupled

Again, they can be uncoupled like all coaches exept the Mk3s (but they can be coupled together if you manage to spawn individual ones with the likes of god mode)
For the IC coaches its just incredibly difficult from outside in first person, but again you can get the camera between coaches and uncouple/ couple them, same with the dostos.

Sorry I know it's off topic but WCL is my next buy on the list so what does this mean for the gameplay?

Like do I have heavy stone trains on Hills with no braking?

And can we dump air on other Wagons I mean It makes no difference I just handbrake everything but if I could dump air that would be faster
