Hi there I’ve asked before but didn’t get the desired response. I’m trying to couple together two sets of coaches. When I push them together they just bounce away. When looking at the buckeye it says “locked”. When I click it, it will unlock but for about 2 seconds. Please help! (I’m on PS5)
I'm on PC, and a bit puzzled. You only need to unlock the Mk1 buckeye to uncouple. If uncoupled, you have the option to switch to hook type coupling. I've just uncoupled and then recoupled without any issues.
If the coaches have different brake systems (for example air vs vacuum) they probably won't couple together, the text on the back of the coach should say what type of brakes it has. If they are the same, I'm not sure why they won't couple
My issue is trying to couple the exact same MK1s. For example I’m spawning the 4F with 5 coaches, then spawning the same again, deleting the loco then trying to make a 10 coach train. But the buckeye on the two sets are both locked and can only be unlocked for about 2 seconds
You can couple all buckeye coaching stock in tsw, even to haul a HST with a class 37 and a BG coach between! Just prepare the couplers on both ends of the coaches, even if they are in position. On the blue dual braked bg coach you need to vent the air for using it vacuum only. Same for the air brake. Those are independend systems for the coach. Just couple 2 identical vacuum only mk1w from peak forest is possible without problems.
