How can you make use of the new TMS view on console - the view is fixed so you can't move the view or the centre spot to "click" on anything!
You can’t, it doesn’t work on PS and think it’s the same on Xbox. Do you still have to use it the way it was before the “update” which isn’t easy.
I don't have this route so I'm not speaking from authority but by using classic controls you can press the right stick to toggle the cursor and use the left stick to move it. Classic controls suck but there are still some things that can only be done with them. If you long press the right stick it gives you a list of all cameras. (internal and external) and you can select the screen you want. Unfortunately I don't think there is a way to switch controller layouts while playing the game, it has to be done from the main menu. I can't think of a way using immersion controls or even keyboard shortcuts to unlock the cursor, so that functionality is only available with classic controls on console.
thanks both, so my initial suspicions seem correct - this new feature is pointless!! I did try switching to classic controls and even that didn't seem to work but maybe I'd forgotten how they worked as I only long-pressed the right stick, perhaps a short press might have switched cursor operation! I'll try again tomorrow.
Sorry about that, I have read in another threat that maybe the d-pad works (in immersion controls). Like I said I don't have this DLC but I wish you luck in finding the solution. EDIT: Here's the post, but I realise now that people were saying below it wasn't working on PS5. Sorry about that.
Oh, interesting, thanks. I thought I'd tried that and it tried to open the doors instead, so maybe this is for classic controls as well! Will try it out later.
