Hello people im interested to know how you all play. Me personally I will choose a country and play that country for a few days and pick my favourite routes within that country. And then change. Would like an insight as to how others play. Thanks

I have almost all the DLCs, but I only play on the English networks. I haven't reinstalled the American and German DLCs.

I've also added the Swiss network and the only French network.

Tends to be the more recent routes now, though now and again go into the back catalogue. TBH at times there is too much content in the game now to make a choice. So if I get stuck, I'll bring out the pack of playing cards and shuffle/deal to pick a route arranged in a text document listing the deck (one or two card values now have more than one route).

I also tend to binge play the game to get the Monthly Mastery done, then scale things back to play other games the rest of the time.

Only play European Content, US content I have installed but barely play besides Morris Town because it's nice with the arrow III. But usually I have my phases where I either completely fall for German/Austria/Swiss for weeks or the UK for weeks. Right now I try to do all the masteries for all the content I own which is pretty much 95%.

    DB only.
Thanks to the extraordinary ability that TSW offers with the "spawn a train" option (wherever you want), hours and hours spent shunting in the railway yards, composing convoys or starting a service in the most chaotic place possible, while around me the AI trains rush left and right.

    UK only.

Mix and match, but tend to focus on a route for a day or two and then move on.

Some routes obviously play better on console than others though, which impacts my decisions quire a bit.

I tend to play UK routes, do a lot of loading in on foot and spawn in whatever takes my fancy, maybe a blast up the wcml in a class 47 hauled service, or a thrash at high speed in an bouncy castle. Lol

I think I mostly go for U.S. routes, though I like the Swiss (for the scenery) and British routes, but I just go with what feels good. I just bought the Special Edition, so I'm still playing around with those routes. I gravitated to Morristown because I lived out there for a while. I tried a short jaunt with Semmeringbahn and I love the scenery so I'll give that one a longer spin. I love steam locos, too.

UK only and the majority of the time JT's routes or the West Somerset Railway, occasionally I'll play Cathcart Circle, Cross city line or the Bakerloo, but that's as modern as I'll go. I'd like to play the steam era routes more often but the timetables are sadly very empty.

I have many DLCs of all the main three countries and some of the others but realised recently that I mainly stick to playing UK routes. I have decided that for future purposes, I will only buy UK routes unless there is one of particular interest. But, and like J Lo, it’s a big but, I will not be buying any more DLC until the core problems on console are sorted out. I still have not bought Birmingham-Crewe, despite being very interested in it for this reason. There’s no point unless you can guarantee completing a service through anything but your own fault or the textures being so blurry as to make the game unplayable.

Don't have any system. Just play whatever suits my mood. Most recently I've played a lot of Morristown and Riviera.

    Only play UK content.

Stuck to Riviera until the novelty wore off. Now on Shap, which I have played extensively since its release.

Other than the odd run on Blackpool or SEHS don't really play any of the older routes. Most of what I own is now purely for layers and/or substitutions.

Everything except heavy freight. Bias for the recent routes or those with busy timetables/remasters, with the occasional "oooooo scenery" run. Morristown, frankfurt s-bahn, dresden-leipzig, london-brighton/london-MK, scenery on semmering, vorarlberg, riviera

UK only, mostly steam what bit there is but spawn steam trains on any UK route. Enjoyable.

I mostly play the German/Austria/Swiss routes, but sometimes also UK routes. I like to play S-bahn services or more short trips, high speed trains are mostly boring for me. Love to go back to older routes like Ruhr Sieg Nord and Main Spessart Bahn. Those routes really have a charm with the nice scenery. I also like to return to GWE, love the diesels and the green GWR trains. Also Island Line 2022 is nice for a short UK trip.

I can't stand the small cabs and windows of some/lot of the UK trains, it block the views from the cab on the scenery and ruin the experience for me. I feel sorry for the real train drivers on those trains.

I have a spreadsheet and every session I will take the least incomplete route and do 2-3 starting time order. I log every service including avg speed, distance, duration and every loco/train number I’ve driven.
