Hallo guys, i've played both versions Ts and tsw, and like often happens i prefer the Ts version: a part the realism of the locos (Tsw is an easy winner here) i think is more attractive to see: better texture and more live elements on the route. At this point i suppose the problem is the Unreal engine, peraphs not the best choice to build up a train sim.
I forgot to write that like most of you i use a recent video card that automatically try to upscale the overall quality. Typically upscale texture from low res to high res. So the Ts experience is more edulcorate.
For era & rolling stock wise, i choose TS version. But overall graphic & performance, i definitely prefer TSW version.
Curious, do you have an issue with getting TS to start up. I know I do, and it's been an off and on issue for several years.
I can get into the 64bot version. All the AA settings boggled me and some of the routes I have look atrocious. That said I’ve seen newer routes looks good and intriguing, my reason for struggling to get into it is tsw looking a lot better and I hate the TS ui. That said I love the TS map and their route lengths. It’s a hard quandary investing in both to me
I think you will find it’s a F7. There are very few Alcos in TSC, though TSW fares even worse with none!
I feel like comparing the TS version of HSC to the TSW version is apples to oranges. The TS version was done awhile ago, and in a different era, not to mention it was easier to include more content within the route. The TSW version is done in the modern era, and with how developments of new or slightly edited models for locomotitvs with the unreal engine, you can't really expect more out of it than it's TS counterpart.
