Just ran a Gatwick express service from Victoria to Brighton via LGW and not long after Battersea an HST was going the other way towards Victoria. Forgive me if I am mistaken as im not over familier with that line as I'm more familier with the Glasgow end of the WCML, Is that accurate ? Did HSTs ever run close to Victoria or is it there just for the sake of being there ? Thanks.
HSTs have indeed been diverted through Clapham Junction into Waterloo at times. Just search "hst clapham junction" on Youtube for proof.
