DTG Protagonist or someone? Anyone know what the selectable livery option for the HST is? is it just swapping the first class to the other end of the train? if so then that is MASSIVLEY unrealistic as the First Class is ALWAYS at the London end of the train and Never elsewhere (except for the sleeper, but that is different) If my reason is correct, please Flag this to TrainSim-Adam as I Think that would need removing!
    Thanks.

It wasn't unknown for HSTs to run with standard class accommodation at the London end, usually as a result of engineering work or short term disruption. However sets were usually turned at the first opportunity.

Hate to disappoint you tubefan1973 but 1st Class does not have to be at the London end of a train. Greater Anglia are currently running 3 sets of their 745 trains "back to front", as are LNER with some of their Azuma's.

There are different services to run if you select the other livery. I don't know why they aren't all under one, though.

    Hiya,

Formations with First Class leading and trailing in the HST are provided so that the train can be in the correct orientation depending on which way it is set to run in custom scenarios.

If starting at London Paddington and running westbound, the appropriate formation would be First Class trailing (ie at the London end). This would be the formations with [Rev] in the name.
If starting at Reading and running eastbound, the appropriate formation would be for First Class leading (again, at the London end). This would be the formations without [Rev] in the name.

    Hope that helps.
