FPS drops to single digits on the first scenario while loading at GCT. Messing with graphics (SSAA, draw distance, scenery density) does not change this at all, it behaves exactly the same. New York-New Haven runs mid-20s on my machine at GCT with a couple trains. Hardware monitor isn't showing CPU or GPU at 100% usage during this, and I have plenty of RAM to spare (~10GB used vs 32 installed). VRAM usage less than 2GB, I have a 1050 Ti with 4GB of VRAM and am playing on a 720p TV.

Seems to be an issue with the M7-- was playing a scenario on Washington-Baltimore that used the M7 as a stand-in for the Washington Metro trains and the frame rate dropped from ~30 to ~9 as soon as the M7 loaded. Recovered after I passed it. I usually get a ~5fps dip when loading equipment, but none of the other equipment in the scenario (MP36, Acela Express, ACS-64) was anywhere near like the M7.

I had read there was a patch (third party?) for this related to something with the headlights, but I couldn't find anything after about two hours of google. Is there a fix?

Nothing wrong with the headlights - it is the Cab light that hits the framerate due to ShadowCasting. But you don't have that on whilst driving anyway.

The M7 trains are full of lights details and scripts updating all the time, yielding low framerates, however the problem lies with the many static trains and AI of the M7. They even used the files from the HL M7 to create the LIRR M7.
