Despite my obvious and rather loud criticisms of TSW 5, I’ve gone ahead and bought TSW 5 Deluxe today. I know, shock horror! :o

Feel free to clutch your pearls.

    Why?

Well, I do give credit where credit is due and both SB and Fulda look great overall. A lot of effort has clearly gone into these two routes (which makes WCML stick out all the more as a sore thumb).

    Am I a hypocrite?

Possibly, but after some thought, £59.99 for two routes and two train DLC’s is still good value even if I never ever play WCML. And I do get a lot of enjoyment out of TSW despite the blood boiling rages it often gives me.

I will now get first hand experience of what is new and will of course feedback anything I think is necessary for DTG to hear loud and clear.

    To the trains >>>

    First bit of Feedback …

DTG really needs to work with Sony to streamline the TSW DLC download process. Why does it automatically want to download both the PS4 and PS5 versions of everything.

I’ve just had to manually select ALL the DLC I want to reinstall, then manually select, cancel and delete all of the PS4 content queuing up for no reason whatsoever.

In terms of download time, I have a 1 Gig Fibre Broadband connection with Virgin Media. Despite getting a very decent 697Mbps download speed over Wi-Fi in a room away from the router, yikes! The download times are insane. I really feel for those on slower connections.

While I would definitely agree and say you are very much a hypocrite, after the big tantrum over some rubbish I can't even remember what was about but do remember you refused to get anything TSW5, as long as you are happy, Dovetail won, your hard earned cash is ch chinging in their big bank account..........

Just remember on WiFi you are running in a shared environment and using a collision avoidance contention scheme were every packet from the client must be acknowledged by the AP so even though you have 697 mbps raw bit rate, half is taken up by overhead of the acknowledgements. Since it is a shared environment as well any other WiFi client is further going to reduce throughput. I would bet if the file transfer is getting 200mbps sustained you are doing well for the WiFi connection.

And to stay on topic… yes you do come across as hypothetical after the frequency and ferocity of your past comments. That being said, I am glad you are receiving enjoyment with your purchase… isn’t that is what it is all about anyway.

    First crash …

Fast travelling from Pollokshields East to Queens Park (collectable hunting) on Cathcart Circle. Game froze on screenshot image that appears during the transition. Had to close the game. This generated an error report, which I submitted via the PS5.

Seeing as it takes a good while to get back into the game, any crash is a massive problem.

    Another crash …

This time fast travelling from Queens Park to Crosshill on Cathcart Circle.

Fast travelling is obviously broken. Another error report submitted via the PS5.

Not on PS5. It was always £59.99. Bought it with £100 PSN Wallet Top Up though, which cost me £83.
