I'm more or less only talking about the timetable-mode There's no 155 or 182 and no 423 There may not be 182 servieces, true, but it's the only other LZB capable vehicle other than the ICE... And the 423. Well, there are A LOT of 423 services. The S11 and S12 i.e. The 155 would make sense since there is a hell of freight going on Also, the Talent and ICE aren't present on any other routes where they IRL AFAIK are. RRO as example. Sometimes I kinda feel like this whole "Köln-Aachen Package" is left behind. so many services are missing or services from those vehicles on other routes are missing. And I wish I we could do ICE wagon shunting with the 363 like we do coaches in Hagen. I saw this happening irl, if needed I could provide pictures
The issue is that when DTG make a new route, they can create layering timetables for locos that already exist in TSW, but they can hardly get out their crystal ball and make layers for locos that don't exist yet! Hence the controversial inclusion of the 422 for SKA's S-Bahn services: it should be the 423, but HMA didn't exist when SKA was made. Similarly the 182, which hadn't been released when TSW2/SKA came out. I do get your point WRT the 155, since it has been around since TSW2020 and they could have at least allowed it to sub in for the 185. They also could have created some shunting services for the 204 in Koln's vast switchyard.
If we include too many layers we would get an HMA on console situation, SKA already is almost a guaranteed crash going towards Köln if you have all layers on old gen. I don't know if the 155 and 182 are available on HMA, but it's strange those two locos can't substitute the others... I can understand the 185.5 has to haul the RRO intermodal wagons for example, but I can't understand the missing substitution for the 155 and 182, what's the difference between SKA and all the other routes? About the S-Bahn layer, AFAIK is almost completely broken with almost all services getting stuck at Sindorf (read more here), so I would hope if they have to make substantial changes to that layer a 423 can be considered as an option now that HMA is out.
The issue of the usual 155/182 substitution not being present was raised on the forums when the freight layers for SKA were released. Matt said that it seems to be an oversight and that they will be enabled, but we haven‘t heard anything about it since.
The 423 on ska is a DB S-Bahn DB BR 423 meaning technically a whole new train would have to be made since a S-Bahn Munich 423 and a S-Bahn Koln 423 are different trains in terms of interior, pis and different logos. Should ska came with the 423, yes especially if the s bahn stations were gonna be fully accessible but dtg will probably add it in the future
That's probably on their long list and it's probably at the bottom of the pile hence why it hasn't been disscussed
Although it's strange that the preservation team are dealing with new (and therefore not preserved content). Surely the core team should have fixed the timetable and looked into the crashes by now... I'm still unable to enjoy SKA on my Xbox. It's a real shame as I like the route.
155 yes, 182 idk. Returned it on steam after I found out it doesn't support LZB and has no Services on SKA
It will support LZB as soon as they rework RT, but I guess you'd be better off buying Ham-Lub and get that 182. But yeah, the fact the 155 is used there means that its lack of substitution on SKA was a simple oversight
It’s a long old wait for them to get round to each of the routes. MSB is getting looked at so that may make the freight services in SKA bearable to drive with the locos from that but we may be in for a long wait for SKA to get fixes of its own, including ticking that box that allows the 155 to be used. There’s the wait for RSN to be looked at so the sounds on the 155 get fixed. I’ll be an old man before they’ve got everything in SKA up to scratch.
At this point on how long it takes to address older dlcs, I wouldn't be suprised if it took 7 years to get to ska
