Im completly new with SRTM data´s and more. I experimented a lot in the Editor and think that with my limited build skills that im ready to (try) to build a route. i set up the Roadmap but with the SRTM data im not getting anywhere. this is why i need help with how to get them and how to use them. The Roadmap: If i get the Lidar set up right i would first start with the Branch on the left (Radolfzell-Radolfzell (Haselbrunn)-Stahringen-Wahlwies-Nenzingen-Stockach) to learn more for the Mainline. its a really beautiful Route going near the Lake Constance where The 628 and 612 could be used. I'm very interested about the Lake Constance a.k.a. Bodensee region and even thought about doing the north route by myself as a potential future project. Therefore, I would like to help where I can. However, I have limited time and all of my time I have available I have to dedicate to my actual route project. Where exactly is the problem with getting the SRTM data? Did you read the tutorials and documentation how you can get those already? You either can get the hgt files via some websites or the SRTM downloader plugin within QGIS. Once you got them it's pretty easy. You can directly use them in the Editor and don't need to merge and transform them like you need to do for the Lidar files.
