I Need Help.

whenever i try and oad this scenario the train is always invisible. Does anyone know why?

 

You'll be missing assets some assets.
Check the requirements again.

 

Also read the read me supplied with any repaints carefully, some require a simple clicking of a .bat file and some require the copying and pasting of .geopdx files

 

and also when i load up the route theres no track. its just grass

 

ive read the read me and it doesnt say anything about repaints or opening any files or copy and pasting it just says about the destinations for the train which ive installed

The vdl site (https://backdatedtrainsim.weebly.com/virtual-district-line.html) has a list of essential requirements that are hyperlinked.
Given there is no track, I suspect you are missing the vp track pack and third rail assets.

 

Lots of requirements. That would be the ops problem. I don't bother with routes like this anymore spending a day getting the requirements and then some you cannot get or you have to spend heaps of money buying the payware you don't have.

 

Hardly "lots" in this case though especially for such an intricate and detailed route as this.

I doubt this would take any more than a few minutes to get all these requirements even on potato internet.

Money is relative, whereas one person would balk at having to spend £10 on paid content another will happily throw thousands at their hobby/interest. (Yes I'm speaking from personal experience, but I earned it I can't take it with me and the kids ain't having it, they get the house that's more than enough!)

While irrelevant to this thread or the OPs question I will agree anyone releasing anything now which requires withdrawn DLC needs shafting with a very rough ended stick!

 

The people who say "this scenario needs lots of add ons" don't take in to account that the more you have the less you need next time.

You also use those trains in other scenarios and by themselves

If I come across a scenario that says I need something I don't own I look at what part that train plays in the scenario
Sometimes it is just is a station or siding when you drive past - in which case I won't bother with it.

 

I have been there and done that. I haven't been sitting on my bum for over 10 years doing nothing in TS. I could name lots of routes that needed lots of requirements and you can spend days finding them. I have even had some routes where the asset is no longer available.. I and a couple of other people over on RWA spent quite a bit of money on a route that we couldn't get working for lack of assets. Even contacting the author of the route got no results who ended up not replying to messages..
