I suggest that DTG shouldn't release a new TSW game every 2 years.. It's getting annoying..

During the past month or so, TSW3 has been rumoured due to a leaked teams chat message by JD and most recently, Kat (or Cat) had accidently displayed some TSW3 things whilst watching a YT video on stream.

This is my personal opinion but, I don't want there to be a 3rd addition to the TSW franchise. I wouldn't mind if it was a similar situation with Train Simulator Classic were the game is 'updated' every year and the year in the title would change (so this year it would be updated from Train Simulator Classic 2022 to Train Similar Classic 2023) however with the TSW franchise, you need to buy the newest installment to the franchise which can get annoying especially when it is a 2 yearly process.

Train Sim World released on July 24th 2018
Train Sim World 2 released on August 20th 2020
Train Sim World will probably release this summer (2022)

I can get why TSW2 released and I was all for TSW2 however I am not for TSW3.. TSW3 hasn't been 100% confirmed as of yet (apart from a apology from JD about the first leak in which he followed up with telling us to "act surprised when something gets announced" ). A special announcement by DTG is happening 09 August 2022 at 1600 UTC.

Now, earlier this year, DTG announced a big summer update however since the announcement, we have heard nothing from DTG about this big summer update and with the recent leaks about TSW3, this has lead people to believe that TSW3 is the big summer update..

Yeah would be cool. I spotted this in a recent stream (Let's Make A Livery). Screenshot_20220801-085649_Gallery.jpg
    It could very well happen.

Well they won't release an fully new game if its not needed. Its also dev wise way much easier to maintenaince an game that it "young" so imo i think an new TSW2 every 2 years. Also if they did they will include lot of new things, just not a name change where u need to pay for it

See it like that: let's say, they do a boundle of three routes for the price of 1 - 1,3 routes. So something between 30 and 40 Euros. And you're interested into at least one of the routes. You would have bought that route, if it released for TSW2. Then you basically pay for one route, get two additional as well and probably on top of that a big free core update with new features and less bugs. And all your TSW2 purchases will transfer to TSW3, if there is going to be a TSW3.

So I can't really see your point given the fact, it's a bundle, you're interested into at least one route, the bundle costs as much as always and all the TSW2 stuff is available as well.

I don't see the problem. It's quite likely your DLC will carry over anyway, and you get three routes for the price of one in the base games. Realistically that's a win!
A US, DE and UK route for £25 + all your existing routes? That's a good deal.

There's just an attitude of "oh no we don't need another game" when it really doesn't impact us.

Presuming they continue the preserved collection, that is...

I do agree that it is a good deal however, what is annoying is that when they release a new game into the franchise, chances are that the previous game will be 'discontinued' (if you will) are high.. I only really drive on UK based routes and UK trains so the other two routes I will probably only go as far as the introduction, tutorials and, maybe, a scenario or two..

Either way the bundle of three usually costs the price of one, so if you choose to play the UK route in the bundle, it doesn't make that much of a difference. You have two others there just on the off-chance you feel like driving it, at no additional cost.
