Was running a scenario planner service with the MP15DC on Clinchfield up to Dante and spun it out under load on the 1.8 grade in the tunnel. Could not get going even doing a hill start. Gauges went red, amps went red and wonky, and lost all power.
So... I backed up using gravity to the siding a few meters behind me and cut off 4 cars to try again with a lighter load. Nothing, no power at all. Slid back into other cars.
Shut everything down, reset all switches and brakes and settings. Tried to start from dead. Nothing. Not even an engine running sound. Not sure what to do now.

I have the Indy Brake applied to full as I sit here wondering what to do.
There's absolute nothing going on right now but air pressures... BC=58, MR=130/140, ER=90, BP=89

Did I break it? Did I blow the engine? Is that even possible?
Or do I have to wait for something to happen or reset "by the game"?

I haven’t got that locomotive so I cannot comment on this particular situation but I have overloaded the F7 several times on clinch field and the engine shut off.
To recover I had to set all controls back to how it was when I launched the service and then attempt to restart the engine.

That's what I did a couple times including killing the breakers to make sure it was dead before going through the starting sequence.
I think the solution is to edit the scenario so that the train is pulling empties to eliminate the possibility of powering out.

Yeh maybe that would be best- or reduce the number of wagons.
I guess that a switching locomotive isn’t really designed for that sort of intense work.

    You are correct sir ;-)
But in my defence I was running a test to get screen shots to upload to CC to share. I was not aware the grade would change so drastically. Heck, I made it to within 3 miles of my destination on an 8.8 mile trip. But It would make more sense to bring up empties in this case )I think) anyways.
I'm still not that familiar with Clinchfield's trackage so wasn't sure if I was selecting a destination that would work or not.
Oh well.. got the shots I needed ;-)

Climbing the grade a few miles before before powering out...

I'm going to edit it today to pull empties and try it again.

    Thank you ...
It's based on this model I rebranded downstairs in the train room, minus the pilot & battery box stripes.

    Update:
Edited and then ran the same scenario with empty cars and success was achieved.
Nice little run for the MP15 and the grades do still mess with you a bit (up & down changes - watch your speeds!) but not unachievable for the 1500 HP switcher with 9 empties in tow.

    Entering Dante yard ...
