what happens is that when I try to move the 111 from IC cab-car it moves but if I stop the throttle and apply throttle again it doesn't move anymore, no matter what I do (even restarting everything, pantograph, main circuit breaker, electric train supply, brake system, etc) has anyone experienced something similar? how to try to resolve it? would it be a bug? at first I thought it was something with the salzburg-rosenheim route but same thing happens at training center
I have the issue as well Just tried to do the I'm Not A Mechanic scenario and literally get to the 1.0% gradient part in the 110kph zone between Rosenheim and the next station and the whole thing just dies
Also add the 185.2 to the same route as well Doing the International Aid scenario and I get to Salzburg no problem, change ends, go through all the procuedures the game says, apply some power and it won't go above 2kph and then try to apply any other power and it just glides down the slope at 2kph
The 111 is (not) compatible with the cabcar! Better you use one thats listed. Its no guaranty they the other locos will work they dont have test it. Read here for more info: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/br101-expert-some-clarification.83254/ "5. The cab car will be compatible with the Railpool Vectron, DB BR111, ÖBB 1116 and DB BR218 on release, more are probably compatible but I have not tested these yet. This compatibility is at a "non-Expert level" which means that you can do the normal stuff like control doors, traction, train lights, pantograph, main circuit breaker and train line (when applicable) but some of the special indicators or switches that require jumper cable signals will not function since the jumper cable signals required for these only exist on the Expert vehicles. Mixing the cab car with old IC coaches is not supported."
I’ve run into this issue before with the BR 111! It sounds like the problem might be related to how the train is set up after stopping the throttle. Here are a few things to check that worked for me: Throttle Position: Make sure the throttle is fully set to Off or Neutral before applying power again. If it’s not properly reset, the system can get stuck. Brake Settings: Double-check that the brakes are fully released before applying power again. Sometimes even a slight application of the train brake can prevent movement. PZB Mode: If you’re using PZB, ensure you’ve acknowledged or overridden any active restrictions. PZB can prevent the train from moving if it thinks you’ve violated a signal or speed limit. Main Circuit Breaker: When restarting everything, try lowering the pantograph, resetting the circuit breaker, and then re-raising the pantograph. Sometimes the breaker doesn’t reset properly after stopping.
Adding one thing here and that's probably the most happening "problem" because of impatience of players. When you have put the throttle to 0 you also need to wait for the tap changer reaching the 0 state. If you try to apply power again before it was in 0 too, it can get stuck. Unfortunately the cab car is not showing the actual tap the loco is in. So you have to guess it. At least you can hear it on the loco itself if it is still running down the taps.
Nope, that information is not passed along the train. Traction lock mostly only counts for the vehicle your are in.
