it would be interesting to have this control wagon for BR 101. It would be possible to go in the opposite direction, which is not possible for the moment.
Currently they have the 101 doing the cab cars job, it was a bad decision that the cab car never came with it.
It would be more than an update it’s a whole loco addon essentially, They are a company and profit is the motivation for stuff like this, free trains isn’t on the menu.
That (might be slightly cheaper depends, they may make it cheaper for what it is or stick with it took awhile and it’s a full loco development wise) or it’s part of a route, though what it is makes it hard for it to be separated from the 101 which means the 101 has to come with it in some way, alternatively it never comes.
Yeah idk, it's a single cab car. Yeah, a business has to make money but at this point just charging extra to complete a train isn't going to land well
it’s the problem they created by not doing it, the chance it’s free is extremely unlikely so alternatively it’s buying it in someway which is made difficult the same way by how they released the 101 or it never gets done. Edit: the 101 may be easier for them to part with down the line from it being a single addon, kinda like the 363
They could do what sehs extended did and include it as part of a route by default and include the cab car so they get paid when players buy the route. Or create a gameplay pack with a new livery and cab car and still be able to charge money for it. Who knows
I reckon we need a 120 for the cab car to come. It won’t be a free update for the 101 DLC, obviously. They also won’t release it standalone because it’s DLC for DLC for DLC. Don’t think it’ll come with a route together with the 101 either since then everyone who has the 101 DLC will complain that they need to get an entirely different route to complete their train. But a 120 could still come with the cab car either as DLC or with a new route and future routes could then layer in that consist with the 101 alternatively. That’s my take on it anyhow.
well that happened with the 465 and db 365, those got released free with a new version of tsw. I think that is the smartest way for DTG to do it by including it in a big game release (hopefully something like rush hour and not tsw 5), which will make it a 'new train' while still including some pre-existing stock.
