When I receive a forced braking, and then turn off the PZB while the system tells me "Zwangsbremsung", it keeps on doing that, I can't stop it anymore. I turned the PZB back on and pressed the release switch but it kept saying Zwangsbremsung. Could this be fixed?

Did you acknowledge and then release?

Don't turn off the PZB whilst the Penalty Braking is applied. Smash (yes!) the brake lever to SB (Schnellbremsung) - this prevents air bleeding from the Main Reservoir into the brake pipe because of the sudden pressure loss, slowing down the braking process (Real life procedure - you have to "support" the Emergency Braking. In real life, use the sander additionally as every metre counts in case of a real emergency/SPAD).

Come to a halt. Press PZB Release - the "Zwangsbremsung" voice should go out. Release the brakes. Then turn off PZB if you want to play without. If you choose to continue with PZB, you might then be in "restricted mode" (Yellow 1000Hz light active, 85/70 blinking alternately) for 700 metres. Stick to 40 km/h until the yellow light goes out. If the 85 still blinks, don't go faster than 84 km/h - you can cancel it with PZB Release again if you're sure the track and signals allow for a speed >30 Km/h over the next 550 metres- else you could get another "Zwangsbremsung" for "Unerlaubte Befreiung" in case you hit an active 500Hz magnet, which protects a red main signal and guarantees you can stop in time.

This should prevent speeding against a red signal, and was introduced after some serious accidents in the mid-nineties.

The older PZB could actually be tricked by going into neutral, then forward again. PZB90 does not allow this anymore. Can't say how correct the TSW implementation is though... need to check on that. Also in real life, the reverser always stays in forward.
