The ICE 3 VELARO D, which is popular with many people and has a large fan base, can be found in the German public transport system. And if there is a good opportunity to make TSW3 even more varied and realistic, this move could be integrated into the game as an option. The ICE3 VELARO D BR407 series is a series of high-speed multiple units in the ICE fleet of Deutsche Bahn. The manufacturer of these trains, Siemens Rail Systems, calls them VelaroD . The trains were assigned to the ICE 3 fleet by Deutsche Bahn and designated as ICE3(MS) or as the new ICE 3. They are very similar to the ICE 3M built by Siemens and Bombardier, but a new design because the sole manufacturer Siemens could not take over the patents from Bombardier. The 407 series is a further development of the 406 series ICE 3. In 2008, Siemens received an order from Deutsche Bahn to produce 15 multi-system trains. Another ICE was ordered in spring 2011. The first eight-car high-speed trains, with speeds of up to 320 km/h, were scheduled to go into service on international routes at the end of 2011, but there were considerable delays in delivery. On-board restaurant: There is a bistro/bar car in the train that offers a variety of snacks, drinks, and meals for purchase. Accessibility: The train is equipped with wheelchair-accessible toilets and seating areas, as well as ramps for boarding and disembarking. On Board entertainment: The train offers a variety of entertainment options for passengers, including onboard Wi-Fi, power outlets, and audio/video entertainment systems. With 460 seats (111 of them in first class and 16 in the bistro area), an eight-part VelaroD should offer the same seating comfort as an ICE3 with more seats, according to the manufacturer In Novefuturember 2018, the equipment of multiple units with ETCS (ETCS Baseline 3) was put out to tender. This will give the multiple units access to the Belgian network and enable them to run on the Stuttgart–Ulm high-speed line in the. München - Nürnberg Frankfurt (Main) - Köln Stuttgart - Köln Berlin - München (Sprinter ICE ) Dortmund - München Würzburg - Hannover Köln - Bruxelles Stuttgart - Paris and this is also based on the same technology as the eurostar please always feel free to leave a comment which train I should do next
Personally, I prefer the Neo (Br408) because the fan in the driver's cab isn't that loud, but I'm still happy about every new vehicle, especially from DB Fernverkehr
Everyone suggests ICEs at the moment and that's great, it would be really nice if every second German route would bring a new ICE type
Definitely, and I think you could also publish older versions, for example before the redesign. I also really want the Br146.5 and Br147.5 with Dostos. Of course the IC2s haha. But that's because these will be my first two series on which I'll be trained ^^
the ICE 3 Velaro D is actually being developed by a modder outside of DTG, so there is hope. There is also a sound preview video by the guy who is making it: there wont be a new route to that as far as i know, however I guess it will replace some ICE 3 on Kassel-Würzburg and other routes too so you can drive it in timetable mode there. otherwise use the godmode mod or make new scenarios with the scenario planner if that is not the case
That's really great to hear! Will DTG say something about it, because they didn't mentioned any new develoopers, or is the ICE just a retexture just like the Br111 made from the br110?
It's a mod. Not an official 3rd party, so no "need" to be mentioned by DTG. Though it seems to be a fantastic mod!
well I do not know anything but I am guessing the developer is using the ICE 3 as a base model and/or train to build the Velaro D on top of it. Both trains (talking bout real life now) have eight cars, similar-ly places where the doors are and uh idk honestly so no it is not a retexture, I don't know how it works though, you might need the ICE 3 from KWG (or the one from HMA/MAG (?) depending on what the developer chose) to make it work. You can ask him questions though
